Tel Aviv, March 10, 2020. Ingecom, a value-added distributor (VAD) of specialized cybersecurity and cyber intelligence solutions, has added a new company to its portfolio: Vicarius, which focuses on protecting SMEs’ most critical apps and assets against software exploitation through its all-in-one vulnerability management platform. This solution, designed for CISOs, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and IT administrators, ensures regulatory compliance and military-level cyber protection.
Currently, 90% of cyberattacks are due to software vulnerabilities, and organizations are exposed to increasingly more risks. In one month, Vicarius has managed to gather up to 1,000 new vulnerabilities, the main problem is the time it takes to resolve these risks, with most companies taking 180 days to patch vulnerabilities. To reduce the effect of this situation, Vicarius offers TOPIA, a solution that analyzes, prioritizes, and protects third-party apps against threats and attacks. TOPIA manages the organization’s security from beginning to end by identifying active risks and eliminating threats while providing practical solutions in real time.
“At Vicarius, we give small and medium-sized enterprises the tools they need to ensure the protection of their most critical assets through a proactive approach to vulnerability management. With TOPIA, it’s possible to protect sensitive servers without needing to continually patch them. Our mission is to make the world a safer place for everyone,” says Michael Assraf, CEO of Vicarius.
Founded in 2016 in Israel, Vicarius is a team of engineers, designers, and security experts whose goal is to protect SMEs against cyberthreats. The company recently received a $5 million funding round led by Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), with investments from other partners such as Innogy Innovation Hub and Goldbell. This funding will accelerate international growth in Vicarius’s offices in both Tel Aviv and New York.
Distribution Agreement in Iberia and Italy
Ingecom will exclusively distribute Vicarius in all countries where the VAD has a presence: Italy, Portugal, and Spain. Javier Modúbar, CEO of Ingecom, notes, “With Vicarius, we can both detect vulnerabilities and deploy virtual patches in an area of security where we previously did not have a solution with other products in our portfolio. Vicarius has not only a mature and advanced technology in these needs but also a management platform that will allow a majority of our clients to provide this service as an MSSP, including it in their SOCs for early threat detection. With this integration, we hope that we can provide a new solution to our clients in a market in which we have not yet had a presence.”
Assraf adds, “Vicarius is delighted to announce our partnership with leading cybersecurity solutions distributor Ingecom. Javier Modúbar has been instrumental in helping us bring the first all-in-one vulnerability management platform to the Spanish market.”
Vicarius joins Ingecom’s current portfolio of solutions, made up of over twenty manufacturers, including AlgoSec, AlienVault, Allot, Array Networks, Attack Simulator, Bitdefender, Cybonet, Cymulate, EfficientIP, Forcepoint, Forescout, F-Secure, Garland Technology, Hdiv Security, MobileIron, Rapid7, SealPath, Thycotic, Viewtinet, and WhiteBearSolutions.
